British Private Collection, assembled in the 1950s and 1960s

Description

Painted with the 'Ch'i-lin' or 'fliegender Hund' pattern of a winged creature, a phoenix-like bird in flight and a beetle at the base of flowering indianische Blumen, the basket-moulded rim with an insect and flower sprigs, the gilt-edged pierced cover embellished in purple, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, K.H.C. in puce (chip to rim, cover fixed, minor restoration)
